Description |
The Government has requested ADB assistance in rehabilitating its infrastructure. With 4 states, each with its unique and specific needs, the request has been for an omnibus infrastructure type loan that would help address the urgent needs of these states. After the recent cholera outbreak, the state of Pohnpei is requesting for assistance in upgrading its sanitation system. Chuuk is suffering from serious problems with their power supply system. Kosrae has sent strong signals to revive its water supply system, which covers a very limited area, and which supply comes untreated. A similar request for assistance with sanitation has been made by Yap. The objective of the TA therefore is to review these requests and develop a proposal to provide a multisector assistance program. |
