Project detail:
The project aims to improve students’ foundational learning and adolescents’ transition from school to work. It will improve early childhood care and education, foundational literacy, secondary and senior secondary education, school management systems, adolescent life skills, academic and career guidance, and pathways to further education, training and employment. Infrastructure upgradation of selected Anganwadi Centres and schools is also proposed. The project will be implemented over five years and covers beneficiaries across Assam.
Project Cost: US$330.68 million total operation cost/financing; including US$264.55 million IBRD/IDA financing and US$66.13 million counterpart funding.
