Project detail: 

The project provides safe, sustainable, and inclusive drinking water services in water-quality-affected areas of West Bengal. The additional financing will support completion of ongoing investments, secure alternate safe drinking water sources in Purba Medinipur, and prepare a sustainable drinking water supply project proposal for salinity-affected areas of South 24 Parganas and unserved areas of Purba Medinipur. The ongoing project is intended to benefit about 1.65 million people and includes climate-resilient drinking water infrastructure and strengthening of stakeholder capacity for drinking water service delivery. 

Project Cost: US$ 101.00 million (ordinary capital resources).
