Project detail:
The proposed project will develop the Delhi-SNB Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), the second of three prioritized rail corridors planned for the National Capital Region. The 107 km corridor will connect urban areas across Delhi, Gurugram, and the Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror (SNB) urban complex in Rajasthan. The project includes construction of the corridor, 11 elevated and 5 underground stations, track work, traction and maintenance facilities. It is intended to provide safe, reliable and efficient high-speed commuter mobility and improve transport efficiency, safety and sustainability. The project will also support integrated land-use planning, multimodal hubs and transit-oriented urban development.
Project Cost: US$ 1,839 million in identified funding: US$ 1,382 million from ADB ordinary capital resources and US$ 457 million from the World Bank.
