Project detail:
The project is the fourth tranche of the Solar Rooftop Investment Program, intended primarily to finance rooftop solar systems for residential, government establishments, and institutions, on a standalone or aggregated basis, in line with the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY). The program aims to promote renewable energy adoption, reduce electricity costs for households, increase energy self-reliance, and expand solar rooftop capacity in India. Tranche 4 comprises US$175 million in financing, including US$150 million from ADB's ordinary capital resources and US$25 million additional CTF financing.
