Project detail:
The project involves ordinary sand mining over a 3.52 hectare quarry lease area in the Narmada River bed. Mining is proposed through an opencast semi-mechanized method, with a proposed production capacity of 94,336 MTPA. The sand is intended for domestic consumption, particularly for construction, roads, railway tracks and infrastructure works. The project is expected to generate employment for about 10 workers, mainly from nearby villages, and contribute to the local and regional economy.
