Project detail:
The project aims to provide reliable peak power supply from renewable energy sources through development of a hybrid solar-wind power project integrated with battery energy storage. It involves the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of an interstate transmission system-connected wind-solar hybrid peak power and round-the-clock renewable energy plant. The contracted project capacity is 300 MW, comprising 250 MW wind capacity, 435 MW AC solar capacity, and a 300 MW / 415 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The project is expected to deliver renewable energy to the grid and contribute to greenhouse-gas emission avoidance.
Project Cost: US$609 million estimated total project cost.
