Project detail:
The proposed THRIVE Program aims to enhance research and innovation (R&I) capacity across around 40 selected Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) and a few Central Universities. It includes support for R&I parks, research laboratories, centers of excellence, industry-linkage cells, incubation facilities, skill-development courses, fabrication laboratories and pilot plants. The program is intended to strengthen industry-oriented research, technology commercialization, startups, innovation and industry collaboration. It also supports India's need for increased R&D investment and job creation in priority sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, renewable energy and transport.
Project Cost: US$ 500 million (ADB loan / ordinary capital resources)
