Project detail:
The Resilient River Basin Initiative (RRBI) is a proposed cluster Technical Assistance (TA) initiative aimed at strengthening water resources management and water-related food security across ADB developing member countries. The initiative will research threats to river basin health, provide advisory support for policy, institutional, financing and technical opportunities, support preparation of new investment projects, and facilitate knowledge exchange and best practices among river basin managers. It adopts an integrated river basin management and source-to-sea approach to improve climate and disaster resilience, water security, and sustainable river basin management. India is included as a nation-wide geographical location.
Project Cost: US$ 5.20 million in identified Technical Assistance funding: US$3.20 million from the Technical Assistance Special Fund, US$1.00 million from the Water Resilience Trust Fund, and US$1.00 million from the Technical Assistance Special Fund.
