Project detail:
The project aims to strengthen institutions and processes for gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) at the subnational level in India, with emphasis on sectors with low representation of women, including roads, energy, skills, urban development and other infrastructure sectors. Activities include developing time-bound gender-responsive public financial management actions, gender action plans for priority sectors, and strengthening training and knowledge-management systems for peer learning. The project will expand GRB approaches to six new states and improve monitoring systems.
Project Cost: US$2.00 million – funded through the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific.
