Project detail:
A proposed US$400 million Results-Based Lending (RBL) program for Maharashtra's non-urban road transport sector. The program aims to develop a climate-resilient, low-carbon, safe, inclusive and environmentally sustainable road network. Key activities include operationalizing the ADB Green Roads Toolkit for critical road infrastructure, advancing road safety standards and institutional functions, and developing a road and bridge information system. The program is intended to improve rural connectivity, access to health care and education, farm-to-market connectivity, and inclusive economic development across Maharashtra.
Project Cost: US$400 million (ADB loan / Results-Based Lending program).
