Project detail:
The proposed nationwide program aims to upgrade and reimagine Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into state-of-the-art skill institutions through industry-led governance, producing highly employable youth aligned with industry needs. The program responds to the need for stronger employment outcomes, skilled labour, and workforce adaptation to emerging sectors and rapidly changing manufacturing technologies. It seeks to improve ITI institutional performance, strengthen state- and national-level capacity, and improve the employability and labour-market outcomes of graduates.
Project Cost: US$ 1,692 million total funding indicated: US$ 846 million from Ordinary Capital Resources and US$ 846 million from the World Bank. The document identifies the assistance modality as a Loan.
