Project detail: 

The project involves raising and deployment of one additional company under the existing 137 Composite Ecological Task Force (CETF) Battalion (TA), Ganga Task Force (GTF) for the protection and rejuvenation of River Yamuna in Delhi. Key activities include river pollution monitoring, drain mapping, public awareness and participation campaigns, biodiversity protection through patrolling, ghat patrolling, assistance during floods/natural calamities, and plantation of trees/riparian vegetation for soil-erosion control and ecological restoration. The project authorizes 132 personnel comprising 2 Officers, 5 JCOs and 125 Other Ranks. 

Project Cost: ?19.80 crore (?19 crore 80 lakh), with 100% central sector support up to 31 March 2026.
