Project detail: 

The project has been approved under Namami Gange Mission–II to intercept and divert sewage from 14 untapped drains in Kanpur, preventing untreated wastewater from entering the River Ganga. Major works include interception and diversion of drains, rehabilitation of existing drainage infrastructure, construction of 6 sewage pumping stations and 1 lift station, laying of rising mains and sewer pipelines, and 1 year of operation & maintenance. The project is funded with 100% Central Sector Support under the National Ganga Plan (NGP). The estimated project cost is ?138.11 crore, inclusive of GST and one year of O&M.
