Project detail:
The project is being implemented under the Namami Gange Mission-II for the interception and diversion of sewage and development of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Hooghly Chinsurah. The objective is to prevent untreated sewage from entering the River Ganga, improve wastewater management, and enhance environmental sanitation. The project is approved under the DBOT (Design, Build, Operate & Transfer) model and includes 15 years of Operation & Maintenance (O&M). It is expected to improve urban sanitation infrastructure and contribute to river conservation.
Project Cost: ?161.99 Crores (Revised Administrative Approval & Expenditure Sanction)
