Project detail:
The project involves the revised implementation of Interception & Diversion (I&D) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) works at Chhapra under the Namami Gange Programme. The objective is to improve sewage collection, conveyance, and treatment to prevent untreated wastewater from entering the Ganga River. The revised scope includes a 32 MLD STP, 32 MLD Main Pumping Station (MPS), 7 Interception Pumping Stations (IPS), approximately 21.37 km of sewer network, and 3.141 km of pumping main. The project is expected to strengthen urban sanitation infrastructure and improve environmental quality.
