Project detail:
Purpose/Need: To produce Black Trap stone required for road construction, housing, infrastructure, river protection, dam construction and other civil works, addressing the growing demand for construction materials. Project Activity/Process: Development of an opencast semi-mechanized Black Trap mining project over a lease area of 1.1492 hectares. Mining will involve drilling, controlled blasting, excavation, loading and transportation of Black Trap stone. Capacity: Total mineable reserve of 2,05,180 MT with an annual production capacity of 32,227 MT/Year. Employment/Economic Importance: The project will provide employment to 9 persons (1 Mining Engineer/Geologist, 3 skilled operators and 5 unskilled workers), generate government revenue through royalty, and support regional infrastructure development and the local economy.
