Project detail: Purpose/Need: To develop a Blacktrap mining project to meet the regional demand for construction material used in roads, highways, dams, and infrastructure projects while contributing to economic development and employment generation in Arvalli District.
Project Activity/Process: Opencast mechanized mining of Blacktrap using excavators. Excavated mineral will be loaded into dumpers/trucks and transported to processing plants or consumers.
Capacity: Proposed production capacity is 283,024 TPA (ROM) from a 2.7358-hectare mining lease area with an estimated mine life of about 23 years.
Employment/Economic Importance: The project will provide employment opportunities primarily to local villagers, support indirect employment, generate royalty revenue for the State, and contribute to regional infrastructure development.
