Project detail:
Purpose/Need: To meet the growing domestic demand for granite used in roads, dams, buildings, temples and other infrastructure works. Project Activity/Process: Open-cast semi-mechanized granite mining involving drilling, smooth blasting, extraction, manual loading and transportation without mineral processing. Capacity: Production capacity of 30,000 MTPA from a 1.10-hectare mining lease, with an estimated mineable reserve of 4,29,000 MT over five years. Employment/Infrastructure/Economic Importance: The project will generate employment for approximately 20 persons, improve the local socio-economic condition, generate State revenue through mining royalties/taxes, and support local welfare through environmental management and CER activities.
