Project detail:
The project involves sand quarry mining at Tentuapada village in Ganjam District, Odisha, over an area of 5.666 hectares. Mining will be carried out through a semi-mechanized open-cast method with a proposed production capacity of 5,250 CuM per annum. The project is intended to meet the growing domestic demand for sand used in construction and infrastructure activities. It is expected to contribute to regional economic development through mineral royalty generation and employment creation. The project will provide direct employment to approximately 30 people and indirect livelihood opportunities to around 300 persons in transportation and allied activities.
