Girajpur_248 Sand Mine belongs to Mayurakshi River bed which is located at Mouza: Girajpur, J.L. No. - 97, Plot no.: 1321(P) & 1322(P), P.S.: MD. Bazar, District: Birbhum, West Bengal. The limiting Co-ordinates of the block are, lies on Toposheet number 73 M/5 areas given below: Girajpur_248 sand mine Latitude: 23° 57' 17.680" N to 23° 57' 25.397" N Longitude: 87° 29' 29.069" E to 87° 29' 36.128" E The proposed site is connected with National Highway 14 is situated at a distance of 3.83 Km towards South direction from the lease area. Suri railway station is 8.1 Km away from the lease area towards Southwest. Railway bridge is situated at 8.69 Km from the lease area towards South & Tilpara Mihirlal barrage is located approximately 3.46 km towards Southeast from the lease boundary.
2.2 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF NATURE OF PROJECT Extraction of riverbed material will be done depending upon the sedimentation rate i.e., production capacity will not exceed the replenishment capacity of the river. The lowest rate of Replenishment of Mayurakshi River as per approved District Survey Report is 74.33%, which is considered for estimation of reserve. Proposed production for next 5 years.
