Project detail:
The project proponent is submitting the report for ToR appraisal and further seeking Environmental Clearance for the proposed project Sand/Morrum Mining from Yamuna Riverbed located at Gata No. 169/9, Khand No. 01, Village: Heerapur Divara Tehsil: Kalpi, District: Jalaun, U.P.(Lease Area 15 Ha) as per MoEF&CC, GoI O.M. No. L-11011/175/2018-IA-II (M) Dated: 12/12/2018 if a cluster or an individual lease exceeds 5 Ha (Cluster Certificate attached as Annexure) the EIA/EMP be made applicable in the process of grant of prior Environmental Clearance.
The project is proposed for mining of Sand/Morrum from Yamuna River Bed for Production Capacity of 2,40,000 m3 per annum. Mining lease area is River bed, Un-vegetated, Non-forest, Government land.
Need of the project and its importance to the country and or region: The basic objective of the project is to effective utilization of Mineral in the country and /or region with the development and industrialization has enhanced the demand of building material. Mainly in infrastructure projects-like highways buildings, township etc. which has raised the demand of river sand beside of the mineral. Sand/Morrum is used in building construction activities. The mineral is being used in making Hume pipe. The sand/morrum can be used in die-casting and molding material.
Project Cost: Rs. 1272.22 Lakhs.
