Brief Description of nature of the project. Kotri Ball Clay and Silica Sand Mining Project having lease area 18.59 Hectare located near village Kotri, Tehsil Kolayat & District: Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Need for The Project and Its Importance to The Country: Ball clay is one of the essential raw materials for Ceramic Industries. Ball clay is used as extender and filler in paints, paper, detergents, Bakelite Powder and in rubber industries etc. Ball clay is heart of several industries like potteries, tiles, ceramics, glass and others. The said Ball Clay mining project will cater the requirement of Ball Clay by nearby area. Silica Sand: Silicon and oxygen are the earth's two most abundant elements and together they make silica, one of the earth's three most common rock forming minerals. Silica occurs in three main crystalline forms. The principal occurrence is as the mineral quartz but it also occurs in other rarer mineral forms known as tridymite and cristobalite. It is a very durable mineral resistant to heat and chemical attack and it is these properties that have made it industrially interesting to man.
