Project detail:
The proposed project will finance the construction of new metro line with a total underground length of 7.65 km and seven stations in congested area of Indore with connectivity to the airport. In addition, the project will finance multimodal facilities to integrate the metro system with existing bus and feeder services, forming multimodal interchanges along the metro corridors with specific focus on improving access to educational institutes and markets.
The proposed project will be aligned with the Comprehensive Mobility Plan for Indore urban area that will develop a long-term vision for urban development in Indore and proposed transport measures such as mass rapid transit corridors to meet the city's mobility needs. This will enhance the urban transport network of Indore in line with national- and city-level planning objectives and include initiatives to build institutional capacity within the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited.
