Project involves Construction of 192 Type-B Quarters for Police Personnel of P. S. Chetganj, Shivpur & Cantt. in Police Line at District- Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Built-up area of project is 22232.54 m2. As per EIA Notification, 2006 the projects listed in schedule-I of the notification attracts applicability of EIA Notification, 2006 and are required to obtain prior environmental clearance. Building and construction projects having built-up area more than 20,000 m2 and less than 1,50,000 m2 falls under the category B-2 and activity 8 (a). Thus, it is required to obtain prior environmental clearance for proposed project from SEIAA, Uttar Pradesh.
