Scaling up Clean Air Actions for Better Health and a Stable Climate (formerly Implementing the Asia Clean Blue Skies Program).
The proposed TA will support the implementation of the Asia Clean Blue Skies Program (ACBSP), ADB's corporate program for improving air quality in Asia and the Pacific. This is one of the programs that will support implementation of pollution pillar, one of the three pillars in the proposed Environment Action Plan (EAP). The program is supporting DMCs on upstream policies, plans, strategies, capacity building on air quality and at the downstream level identification, preparation and implementation of clean air solutions and investments. The support will be targeted at specific cities, DMCs and regions that face chronic air pollution issues including transboundary pollution. Given that clean air solutions also reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) and generate health co-benefits, the tasks under this TA will be closely aligned with the Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) and the Climate and Health Initiative.
