Project Detail:
Improving Governance for Urban and Water Service Providers.
The proposed TA will provide strategic support in Bangladesh, India, and Nepal with a focus on supporting cities in responding to rapid urbanization including building resilience to climate change. It will aim to deliver comprehensive analytics on emerging issues impacting regional and urban planning, institutional strengthening, and urban development that encompasses economic, social, and environmental planning to accelerate action and create a transformative policy environment for holistic urban planning. It will also include supporting each country to deliver on their nationally determined contributions (NDCs). The TA will also enhance knowledge and capacity-building for local authorities and urban service providers, such as water and sanitation authorities, recognizing the importance of strengthening governance and the ability to deliver on strategic plans.
