Mota Desar Building Limestone Quarry Lease, Mota Desar Building Limestone Mine Near Village-Mota Desar, Tehsil-Una, District-Gir Somnath (Gujarat) Existing Mine Lease Area – 1.00 Ha (Non Forest Land) Total Excavation: 24000 tpa (Rom).
Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any. It is a mining project; there are no other interlinked and interdependent projects.
Location (map showing general location, specific location, and project boundary & project site layout) with coordinates. The area is situated at near village–- Mota Desar, Tehsil- Una, District- Gir Somnath Gujarat. The lease area falls within the Survey of India Toposheet no. 41 P/1. The coordinates are given below: Latitude 20°48"08.44” N to 20°48'12.19" N Longitude-71°00'11.43"E to 71°00'16.79" E The lease area falls West of thevillage Shiloj at a distance of about 0.5 Km. The District Headquarter Gir Somnath is about approx 36 Km towards West direction from the Lease area and Una Railway Station is the nearest railway station which is at adistance of 6.5 km from the mine. Details of alternate sites considered and the basis of selecting the proposed site, particularly the environmental considerations gone into should be highlighted. Mining of mineral Building limestone is site specific project and it cannot be shifted to one place to another due to availability of mineral resource.
