Project Detail:
India's logistics infrastructure faces challenges such as fragmented modes of transportation, inadequate warehousing facilities, inefficient logistics management systems, and complex regulatory frameworks. The development of multimodal infrastructure is expected to be instrumental in modernizing India's logistics sector, improving supply chain efficiency, reducing logistics costs, and driving economic growth.
In recent years, there has been a concerted effort by the government and private sector to address these issues and modernize the logistics industry. One of the key initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of logistics operations in India, is thedevelopment of multimodal logistics in both passenger and freight segments. In the passenger segment, projects will include ropeways, wayside amenities and public transport terminal infrastructure (intermodal stations). For freight segment, projects will include multimodal logistics parks, port connecting roads and warehouses.
