Project Detail:
Tripura is a state in North-East India. It is surrounded by Bangladesh on the north, south and west. The 856 km international border makes up 84% of the state border. The rest is shared with the states of Mizoram and Assam. The state is connected with the rest of India by NH-8 (to Silchar, Assam), further connecting to the rest of India via NHAI's East-West corridor and NH-108 (to Aizawl, Mizoram). Tripura is the largest producer of bamboo, the second largest producer of natural rubber, and the fifth largest tea producing state in India. The North-East Economic Corridor Study has also identified growth potential in different sectors and industries in Tripura such as agri- food processing, bamboo, rubber, tourism, and medical tourism.
