Project Detail:
The topography of Kashipur Black stone bearing area is undulatory in nature. Major land use around the area is basically for the purpose of agriculture. Several detached hillocks are present throughout the area. A topsail cover is present over the country rocks, often lateritic, and scattered outcrops of basic rocks are visible.
The Kashipur Black stone project basic rock bearing area is almost a flat topography with few undulations and elevation varying from 143m AMSL to 155m AMSL. One numbers of old working pits are present within the proposed lease area (mainly along an E-W line) where the topsoil, lateritic marum and basic rock bodies with country rocks are exposed. The first pit is 4m-5m deep from the surface at western part of the project area.
