Project Detail:
This chapter deals with the broad description of the project, location, type of mineral deposit(s), quality of reserve, Mining methodology, various site utilities and infrastructure, etc.
The proposed project is a Limestone Mining Project over an area of 998 Ha. The mining methodology shall be Semi-Mechanized mining by opencast method. The Mining Plan for mining of Limestone @ 3.5 Million TPA has been approved by Indian Bureau of Mines as Category “A” Project. As per the EIA Notification, 2006 as amended till date, the proposed project falls under Category “A” of Sector 1 (a) of mining of minerals including open cast /underground mining and requires prior Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Impact Assessment Authority, namely the EAC/EIAA. The project falls in the category “A”.
