The Ashok Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Limited (ASSKL) is a cooperative sugar mill, located at Ashoknagar village Nipanivadgaon, Shrirampur Dist.- Ahmednagar. The industry is registered under Section 10 of the Bombay Co-operative Societies Act, 1925 (Bom. VII of 1925) Vide F. No. Y.p.p.-S 1851(1)-22800z-10-52-AA8 dated 01.12.1954
The industry has existing sugarcane capacity of 2500 TCD, Cogeneration power plant of 15 MW and Distillery of 30 KLPD. The industry received prior environment clearance for existing 30 KLPD distillery Vide F. No. ENV (NC) 1092/1717/CR-309/D-I Dated 2 nd June 1993.
ASSKL, now proposes expand its distillery capacity from 30 KLPD to 120 KLPD to produce additional 90 KLPD Ethanol Adjacent to existing distillery unit. The additional 90 KLPD ethanol will be supplied to the Petroleum industries to contribute to the Ethanol Blended with Petrol Programme (EBP).
The existing 30 KLPD Distillery produces RS/ENA/Ethanol based on C molasses as raw material, while the proposed project will produce Ethanol from sugarcane syrup/‘C’ molasses/‘B’ heavy molasses as raw materials depending on the market demand and availability of raw materials. The steam and power requirement for the proposed plant will be made available from the new slop fired/incineration boiler & back pressure turbine. The aggregated capital investment for the proposed expansion of 30 KLPD to 120 KLPD distillery is
estimated at Rs. 97.21 Crores.
