Sri Sarvaraya Sugars Limited was incorporated on 14.09.1956 as a Public Limited Company, under the Companies Act, 1956 and a Certificate of Commencement was issued on 20.09.1957 from Registrar of Companies, Madras. The Company has been classified as a Manufacturing company for which necessary licences and approvals have been obtained.
Now the firm is planning to set up a 150 KLPD Grain based Distillery to produce Ethanol for blending under EBP programme by demolishing the existing sugar plant in an area of 20.0 acres earmarked for ethanol plant
In line with the ambitious Ethanol Blending programme of honourable prime minister and to become self-dependent on fuel within the country, Company is proposing to set up 150 KLPD Grain Based Ethanol Plant at Chelluru Village, Rayavaram Mandal, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District, Andhra Pradesh in addition to the existing 52.5 KLPD (RS/ENA/Ethanol) Molasses based Distillery.
The committee noted that the proposed project is interlinked with the integrated project of sugar and distillery in which proposed project will be established after demolition of sugar unit and it desired to submit the certified compliance report for the existing unit i.e. Molasses Based Distillery from the Integrated Regional Office/State Pollution Control Board.
