Project detail:
M/s Sao Breweries & Distilleries Private Limited, the project proponent, proposes to install a green field project of grain based distillery to produce ethanol for blending with petroleum. Earlier online application of the above said project was submitted online vide proposal number-IA/OR/IND2/400928/2022, dated 27.09.2022 based on which EC was granted vide file no.- IA-J-11011/395/2022-IA-II(I), dated: 28.11.2022 for 200 KLD Grain Based Ethanol Plant along with 6 MW co-generation power plant
Now, Government is proposing a road which will be intersecting the previous land allotted by IDCO. Thus, in this scenario the IDCO has realloted the land in two different patched having Khata No.: 227/172, Plot Nos. 44/1054, 802/880, 802//875 (P-1), 802/875 (P-2), Village- Talajaring, Tehsil- Junagarh, District- Kalahandi, State- Odisha, 766002.
The present proposal is to set up a distillery using grains as raw material. The product ethanol is intended for use in blending with petrol under EBP Programme. The project is predominantly grain based and is environment friendly. CO 2 will be the by-product which will be collected, liquefied stored and sold to other users.
Grains such as Damaged Grain Feed Stock, Broken Rice, Maize, Bajra & Sorghum, Starchy Materials etc. will be used as raw material which is easily available from the local market.
Project cost 250 cr.
