Project Detail:
Project is a follow-up and expansion of the earlier sanctioned project Phase-1 “Raising of one
Composite Ecological Task Force (CETF) Battalion Territorial Army for National Mission for Clean Ganga”
to continue the benefits of the project.
The breakup of the total cost Rs. 134.86 crore for the present project is as follows: a) Extension of the existing GTF establishment - Rs. 107.7 crore and b) For raising & deployment of one additional company under the existing GTF for river Gomti - Rs. 27.12 crore.
The role and task of GTF (CETF Battalion (TA)) would remain same as in the Phase-I project which is as under; Role: To undertake and monitor ecological and environmental related projects along the River Ganga & Gomti and run public awareness campaigns.
Total Project Cost: Cr. 134.86
