Project Detail:
This Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study is carried out as a part of the process to obtain Environmental Clearance for the above-mentioned project. A mitigation plan has been prepared and a detailed environmental management plan (EMP) is drawn out to effectively mitigate or minimize potentially adverse significant environmental impacts.
M/s. Shiv Ohm Speciality Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. has proposed manufacturing of Synthetic Organic Chemicals (Dyes & Dyes intermediates and Pigment Intermediates) having capacity of 40.5 MT/Month at Plot No.: C1B/42/1, Nandesari GIDC, Dist.: Vadodara-Gujarat-391340 and has been assigned the job to M/s. Ecogreen Enviro Services to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies and preparation of EIA report with suitable EMP.
The project activity is listed as Category “B” Project under Activity 5 (f) (located in a notified industrial area/ estate) 5(f) Synthetic organic chemicals industry (dyes & dye intermediates; bulk drugs and intermediates excluding drug formulations; synthetic rubbers; basic organic chemicals, other synthetic organic chemicals and chemical intermediates) in Schedule of EIA Notification, 2006 and subsequent amendments thereafter and hence require prior Environmental Clearance. But the project is located inside the Critically Polluted area (CPAs) at GIDC Nandesari, Vadodara, Gujarat as per vide letter F. No. 22-23/2018- IA.III[E115231] notification on dated 05.07.2022 & Thus General Conditional of the notification also applicable. Hence, the project i falling under Category “A” to be appraised at EAC, MoEF&CC, Delhi.
