Project Detail:
M/s. Hi-tech power and Steel Ltd. (hereinafter HPSL) has proposed to expand manufacturing facilities for production of Sponge Iron, MS Billet, Steel Rerolled products (through Hot Charging and Reheating Furnace) and, Captive power generation plant comprising of Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB) and Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion (AFBC) Boiler and Steam Turbine & Generator and Fly Ash Bricks Manufacturing Unit at Village: Parsada, Post: Sarora, Tehsil: Tilda, District: Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The project falls under Category “A”; Project Activity ‘3(a)’ Metallurgical Industries and ‘1(d)’ Thermal Power Plant and requires Environmental Clearance (EC) to be obtained from EAC(Industry –I), MoEF&CC, New Delhi. Therefore, it will require Environmental Clearance (EC) to be obtained from EAC (Metallurgical industries (ferrous & non-ferrous)), MoEFCC, New Delhi.
Standard TOR was granted to the unit by Industrial Projects – I, Vide letter No J-11011/171/2017- IA.II(I) on dated 23 rd June 2021.
Anacon Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, is QCI-NABET accredited in ‘Category A’ environment consultant organization has been assigned to undertake an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study and preparation of Environment Management Plan (EMP) for various environmental components, which may be affected due to the impacts arising out of the proposed project.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report is prepared for obtaining Environmental Clearance (EC) from Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Changes (MoEFCC), New Delhi and the Consent for Establishment from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) for the proposed expansion project.
Total existing project cost – Rs. 21257.00 Lakhs Additional cost for expansion - Rs.20900.00 Lakhs, Estimated Budget EMP for Social & Infrastructure Development (@ 0.75 %) – Rs. 157.00 Lakhs, Total cost of project including CER = Rs. 42314.00
