Project detail:
Chettinad International Coal Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (CICTPL), was developed on a design, build, operate, market and transfer basis as a common user coal terminal after obtaining Environment Clearance (EC) from MoEFCC, New Delhi in the year 2006. The terminal was completed with equipment and conveyor systems, yard and evacuations systems with capacity to annually handle 8 Million Metric Tons Per Annum coal/coke, started port operation in the Year 2011. In the Year 2020, CICTPL was acquired by the JSW Infrastructure Ltd. the Infrastructure arm of the JSW Group, the biggest steel producer in the private sector.
The JSW Infrastructure Ltd (JSWIL) is a JSW Group company which is presently into design, finance, development, operation and maintenance of ports, rail/road and inland water connectivity, and other related infrastructure developments works along with terminal handling operations and port management. JSWIL has its presence both in the east coast and west coast of India for its port operations and owns and operates about 11 terminals/Jetties and one commercial port. Various ports which are operational, under development, and proposed for development along the Indian coast are shown
The terminal is now rechristened as Ennore Coal Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (ECTPL), and is now desirous of achieving the design capacity of the terminal by better use of the equipment and processes and increase the productivity of this national asset in the bargain, contributing more to the nation building.
The cost estimates for implementing the Environmental Management Plan shall be Rs. 205.00 Lakh
