Project detail:
This is a brown field project. The BSL had obtained Consent for Operation from Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) vide letter No. PCB/131/HPI/2013/1148 dated 21.10.2013 for manufacturing of Sugar cane crushing capacity 2500 TCD and Co-generation plant of 8 MW. The consent was granted for a period up to 30.6.2014. Thereafter, the industry became sick and taken over by the present management and reviving. The present management has the consent to Operate issued by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, the consent is valid up to 30.6.2026
BSL is located at Sy. Nos. 216/7, 216/6, 216/5, 216/4, 216/3, 216/1, 364/B, 364/B, 364/1, 307/2, 307/3A, 310/3, 310/2, 310/1, 365/2b, 309/1, 309/5, 365/1, 365/2a, Badami - Ramadurga Road, Badami Taluk, Bagalkot District, Karnataka. The industry falls between Latitude 15°54'24.87"N and Longitude 75°38'26.65"E in Survey of India TOPO sheet No. D43D9. The project site boundary shown
Total Area of the Industry 82.36 Acres.
As the present management has proposed for the expansion of the sugar plant, co-gen & establishment of a new distillery, along with production of CBG & CO2 bottling plant from the by -products, the prior EC is being sought.
The Proposal is to expand Sugar plant capacity to 5000 TCD and Co-generation plant to 20 MW and to establish a new Distillery unit of 200 KLD capacity (multi feed stock viz. C-heavy, B-Heavy and Sugar cane Syrup). By-products from Sugar unit are CBG from Press mud – 230 TPD and CO2 from distillery process to be 150 TPD. List of Products proposed to be manufactured are given Table 1.0
