Project Detail:
SRSIP is proposed to assist MORTH in introducing and implementing SSP, which is aligned with the government's road safety agenda "Towards Vision Zero 2030". SRSIP is included in ADB's country operation business plan for India, 2021-2023, and is consistent with pillar 3 (inclusive provision of infrastructure networks and services) of ADB's country partnership strategy for India, 2021-2023. SRSIP is also in line with ADB Strategy 2030 operational priorities, namely (i) addressing remaining poverty and reducing inequalities (OP1); (ii) accelerating progress in gender equality (OP2); (iii) making cities more livable (OP4); (iv) promoting rural development and food security (OP5); and (v) strengthening governance and institutional capacity (OP6).
