Project detail:
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has examined the proposal for Environmental Clearance to the project for Modernization of Existing Manufacturing Unit of Dyes and Dyes Intermediates by Addition of New Plots and Redevelopment of Manufacturing Plant (For Intermediates Products) located at Shed No.: C1/2 to 4, C1B/2, Plot No.: 4 – A (Proposed New) 28 to 32, 34, 35 (Proposed New), 37 to 40, 66 (Proposed New) & 67, GIDC Pandesara, District Surat, Gujarat, India by M/s Colourtex Industries Private Limited (Unit-4).
The project/activity is covered under 5(f) – Synthetic Organic Chemicals Industry under category ‘B’. However, since the project site is located in a critically polluted area, the project attracts the general condition and considered as Category ‘A’ at Centre.
