The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has examined the proposal seeking environmental clearance for establishment of 250 KLD Grain Based Ethanol Plant alongwith 7 MW Co-generation Power Plant located at Plot No.16, 17, 23 & 12, Vill: Haripur, PO/PS: Kiakata, Tehsil: Athmalik, Dist: Angul:759126, Odisha by M/s. ASVA Distillers LLP.
It may be noted that MoEF&CC vide Identification no. EC22A060OR112641 (J-11011/356/2022-IA-II(I)) dated 14.10.2022 has granted environmental clearance to M/s ASVA Distillers LLP for establishment of 150 KLPD Grain Based Ethanol Plant along with 4.5 MW co-generation power plant at Vill: Haripur, PO/PS: Kiakata, Tehsil: Athmalik, Dist: Angul:759126, Odisha. Project proponent vide letter dated 19.01.2023 has informed that construction work has not been started. Now PP has planned to increase the capacity of Ethanol plant from 150 KLPD to 250 KLPD and Cogeneration Power Plant from 4.5 MW to 7.0 MW at the same location with a vision to participate in EBP Programm and now they wish to surrender the earlier EC dated 14.10.2022 to MoEF&CC. Accordingly Ministry agreed to consider the request of the PP as per OM dated 29 th March 2022 and EC dated 14.10.2022 issued to M/s ASVA Distillers LLP became infructuous. The EC granted for establishment of 250 KLD grain based distillery alongwith 7 MW Cogeneration Power Plant to M/s ASVA Distillers LLP will be in effect and supersede the existing EC letter no. EC22A060OR112641 (J-11011/356/2022-IA- II(I)) dated 14.10.2022.
