JSW Jaigarh Port Ltd. (JSWJPL) a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed by the JSW Infrastructure Ltd (JSWIL), Mumbai has been developing a Common-User, All-Weather Multi- Cargo Port at Dhamankhol Bay (Shashtri River), Jaigarh, Dist. Ratnagiri, Maharashtra (lies between 17 0 18’ 00’’ and 17 0 18’ 18’’ North and 73 0 12’ and 73 0 13’ East. The Location of the extant Jaigarh Port is shown in Table 1.
Jaigarh Port was dedicated to the nation on August 22, 2009, by Hon’ble Minister of Port, Govt. of Maharashtra. The facility inter-alia caters to the coal requirement of the shore-based Power Plant developed by JSW Group Company, JSW Jaigarh Energy Limited. The Port is currently under expansion (Phase II) after obtaining Environment and CRZ clearance dated 19 th December, 2013, amended 30 th March, 2015. Recently, the port obtained Environment and CRZ clearance dated 10 th January, 2020 (amended) for the development of 2.0 MTPA LPG Facility and the work is in progress.
