Project detail:
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has examined the proposal forEnvironmental Clearance to the project for Expansion by installation of a 60 KTA Poly-ButadieneRubber (PBR) plant located at Panipat Naphtha Cracker Complex, Panipat, Haryana by M/s IndianOil Corporation Limited.
The project/activity is covered under Category ‘A’ of item 5(f), synthetic organicchemicals industry of Schedule of EIA Notification, 2006 (as amended) and requires appraisal atCentral Level by the EAC.
The PP applied for ToR vide proposal number IA/HR/IND3/185235/2022 dated27.11.2020 and the ToR has been issued by the Ministry, vide letter No. IA-J-11011/306 /2020-IA-II(I) dated11.12.2020. The PP submitted that the Public Hearing was conducted on 25.5.2022which was presided by the Deputy Commissioner. The PP applied for Environment Clearance on30.11.2022 in Common Application Form and submitted EIA/EMP Report and other documents.The PP in the Form reported that it is an Expansion case. The proposal is now placed in 44th EACMeeting held on 16th & 19th December 2022, wherein the PP and an accredited Consultant, M/s. Mantec Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
