Project detail:
As per the notification of the MoEF&CC of September 2006, as amended to date, states thatall Airports projects under Item 7(a) shall be appraised as Category A and requiresenvironment clearance from Central Government in the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) on the recommendation of an Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC). Thepresent project of Bihta Airport as categorized as “A” as mentioned in Table 1.1.
The total land area of the project is 108.4075 acres for which Environmental Clearance isneeded. This project is and does not link with any other project/s which attracts directly or indirectly any provisions of schedule of EIA notification 2006 amended to date.
In line with the aforementioned EIA notification, the project was considered as Category Aand Terms of Reference (hereinafter referred to as ToR) was recommended during 45th Meeting of Expert Appraisal Committee(Infra-2) held on 17th October, 2019 (Annex 1.1).
