Project detail:
Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction for the project “Strengthening of Environmental Regulator — CPCB” under the Institutional Development component of the World Bank assisted National Ganga River Basin Project at an estimated cost of Rs.66.21 crore (Rupees Sixty-six crore and Twenty-one lakh only).
2. Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction for the project is granted subject to the following conditions: -
(a) The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) shall be the Executing Agency (EA) of the project to be implemented under the guidance of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG).
(b) The duration of the project is 3 (three) years from the date of issue of sanction order. Activities to be undertaken under the various components of the project should be strictly as per the proposal dated 21st October, 2021.
(c) Review of the performance under the proposal shall be undertaken after one year. If after one year, performance under the proposal is found
unsatisfactory then the proposal shall be terminated with a notice period of 6 months.
(d) The detailed project implementation plan for the entire project period shall be prepared and submitted to NMCG.
(e) All components of’ the project shall be completed within specified time limits, resources, outputs and outcomes are to be ensured as envisaged in the
approved project. Completion Report shall be submitted to NMCG on completion of the project.
(f) Any additional component relevant for capacity building and manual monitoring etc., or any component require modification or deletion may be added or modified or deleted, only with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
