Project Detail:
The company has a proposal to develop a Greenfield Shipyard at Nhava. The planned new yard intends to have a Dry Dock, two Wet Basins, workshops, stores and buildings including ship-repair facility spread over an area of approximately 40 acres which will be suitable for construction and repair of warships and commercial ships. MDL’s proposed Nhava Greenfield Shipyard is being designed for both defence (Indian Navy and Export) and for private sector (Indian & Export) the proposed Greenfield Shipyard will, however, initially focus on upcoming New Generation Destroyers (NGD) for Indian Navy having draft of 9.2 m.
The total project cost is estimated as Rs 1524.96 Crores, which includes cost of equip/machinery as well as the civil infrastructure both on the water side and land side including GST@18%.
