Project Detail:
The company is now proposing construction of 6175 meter quay length berth including 2 SPM having 900 meter quay length as per the master plan along with back up infrastructure facilities for handling of all type of dry cargo, project cargo, Ro-Ro, container cargo, ship repair & ship building and all type of liquid cargo and cryogenic gas upto -160°C etc.
Cumulative configuration (already approved and proposed expansion) of DPL is given below:
a) Total Key length of Berth : 7825 meter (6175 new + 1650 existing approved)
b) Cargo Handling Capacity : 140 MMTPA (Existing 23.65 and expansion 116.35)
c) Total area of the project : 584.50 Ha.
d) Total Reclamation : 445 Ha. (Already reclaimed 141 and expansion 304)
e) Total Water requirement : 51.4 MLD (50 MLD new + 1.4 existing approved)
f) Desalination Capacity : 150 MLD (To be developed in Phases)
g) Power requirement : 940 MWh/Day (Existing 240 and Expansion 700)
