Project Detail:
The proposed Goleti Opencast Mine ‘Goleti Opencast Mine’ {Conversion of Goleti 1&1A Incline (Up to 280m depth within UG Area) to OC and Amalgamation of BPA OC-II Expansion Project & Abbapur OCP} with a production capacity of 3.50 MTPA (Peak-5.25 MTPA) in a project area of 1358.26 ha is located in Bellampalli area, near Goleti & Sonapur Villages of Rebbena Mandal of Kumram Bheem District and Abbapur, Bijal, Gampalapelly, Narsapur & Asalmada Villages of Tandur Mandal of Mancherial District, Telangana State.
The present proposal involves extraction of
• blocked coal reserves (17.91 MT) of Goleti 1&1A Incline (UG mine closed)
• coal reserves of Abbapur OCP (8.84 MT) (which was not commenced) and
• by utilising the voids of BPA OC-II Ext. for over burden dumping (which is closed).
Bellampalli Opencast-II Extension project has exceeded the EC sanctioned capacity during the years 2016-17 (0.73 MTPA), 2017-18 (0.99 MTPA) and 2018-19 (0.84 MTPA) (Total excess production - 1.36 MT).
Capital Requirement Rs 220 CR.
